Up In The Air…
LYNCHPIX
I had a rather daunting assignment a few weeks back with the Daily Express in London’s Regent’s Park, well, daunting for my journo! She undertook a session with the Gorilla Circus trapeze school- oh did I mention she’s scared of heights?
In a rare break from the miserable spring / summer we’ve had so far, the sun came out & conditions were perfect for pictures.
They started on the deck with instructors Ezra & Debs where they were taught various holds & positions.
Before being strapped into safety harnesses & heading up to the 32 foot high launch platform.
My girl looked a little sheepish as she climbed that ladder!
Once at the top, she was a little aprehensive to let go, but soon got into the swing of it.
Debs gave her a gentle nudge & she was off.
For a brief moment, she actually looked like she was enjoying herself.
Before she came crashing down to the net.
–
–
Fair play to her, though- she got straight back on the horse for another go. Her second attempt was a much more elegant one.
–
When she splashed down this time around, she seemed much happier.
–
Then a handful of the more seasoned students stepped up & showed us all where a bit of practice can get you.
–
Luckilly for us both, my journo opted out of this section. I reckon we’d have probably seen last night’s dinner if she’d had a go!
ENJOY!
