2025 – A Review
Welcome one and all to my pictorial review of 2025. My annual lookback at life behind my lens. 2025 started much like 2026 has; bleak, breezy & bitterly cold. In early January a freezing fog engulfed the capital closing motorways, halting railway lines & grounding planes at London City Airport. I was in the docklands area covering the airport story when I stumbled across this group of friends playing cricket in a local park.
I could hear them long before I clapped eyes on them…!

February’s highlight had me working alongside longtime video collaborators Picture Farm Studios as we undertook a week-long commercial assignment photographing McDonald’s Europe’s raft of new uniforms across a number of locations in and around the capital.

March’s highlight had me working a little closer to home in the Olympic Park, Stratford photographing one of the key people in charge of it’s growth & evolution; Gerry Murphy, Deputy Chief Executive of the OPLC (Olympic Park Legacy Company).

April was a busy month. Below is my portraiture highlight with Cormac Folan, Co-Owner & Founder of Alder & Green, a traditional shirtmaker in Holborn.

I also adore this frame from a ramble around Pimlico for the London Standard shooting a piece on the Belgravia Design District.

My highlight from May came from a visit to a pub in South London for a shoot with father-and-sons team the McElhinneys; the driving force behind the ever-growing Windmill Taverns empire.

As the blooms of June burst, I undertook a lovely little project for the Standard documenting London’s best florists. Pictured below is Scarlet & Violet in Kensal Rise, West London.

July’s highlight is from a great fun shoot on a houseboat in Docklands with luxury handbag designer Sarah Haran. This was our last setup of the day shot through the skylight on the stern of the vessel.

I was back pounding the pavements for August’s highlight shooting the ever-expanding Greenwich Peninsula for the London Standard.

September I was back amongst old friends covering a festival on the Essex coast. thousands of revelers young and old travelled the length and breadth of the country for “Proper Fest” dancing the night away in a field to Ibiza headliners like Tall Paul (below), Seb Fontaine & Alex P amongst many, many others.

Seven packed stages were filled to capacity…

Back in more familiar surroundings for October with a raft of portraiture undertaken. This is James Amos, Managing Director of Boodles UK & Ireland.

Next up was I was back on the water, this time a little farther west in the shadow of Hampton Court Palace for Metro with Linda Laubscher & her husband Mark aboard their floating home the African Queen.

This was a fabulous frame from November as I found myself in Westminster staring at a 5ft pint glass!
It was for a really great cause highlighting miniscule profit-margins the UK hospitality industry is working with at the moment. Ahead of the budget announcement, the British Beer & Pub Association handed in a petition to Downing Street .

British publicans, as well as Emma Emma McClarkin, CEO of the BBPA (right) handed in their petition with a stark warning; raise the price of a pint & tip the pub industry over the edge.

I wrapped up the year working alongside longtime friend & journalist John Nathan for Metro’s “Behind The Scenes” series at the theatre.
We had the pleasure of touring the Savoy Theatre for Paddington- The Musical. This is Head of Wardrobe Carly Turnbull showing us that famous parka the little bear from Peru has made famous.

Pictured below is “Mr. Curry” Tom Edden having a bit of fun in his dressing room ahead of the evening performance.

Another year wrapped with many fun & interesting projects undertaken; I do hope you’ve enjoyed my little look back on 2025. It has truly been my pleasure working on each and every one of these stories.
Should you have an upcoming project you’d like to discuss, don’t hesitate to get in touch…
See you next year!
