The Party Continues

Both the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee & the London 2012 Olympic Games came & went, but the party continued on the south bank of the river thames with the ‘Thames Festival’.
A huge swathe of the river from the famous Tower Bridge, where the open-air arena of ‘the scoop’ educated & entertained local schoolchildren
right up to Westminster Bridge & the Milennium wheel where the crowds came out in their droves…
For once, the bleak overcast clouds that seem to be permanently hovering the capital gave way to streaks of autumnal sunshine.
Street performers, international food stalls & a good old fashioned fun fair were set-up & it was a fantastic weekend.
  
We even had a stunning old carousel.
But my favourite attraction by far & this weeks’ “Image Of The Week” was the flash of colour that was the ‘helter skelter’ set up beside Gabriel’s Wharf.
